The supervisory board of Deutsche Börse AG today appointed Gregor Pottmeyer to the executive board for a period of three years. Effective 1 October Pottmeyer (46) will be responsible for the finance department.
Recently Pottmeyer - who has a university degree in business administration - was a member of the Executive Board of Mercedes Benz Bank AG responsible for Finance and Risk Management, a position he held since 2003. Before that he had various senior management positions at Mercedes Benz Finanz GmbH and at Daimler as parental company. The chairman of the supervisory board of the Deutsche Börse AG, Dr. Manfred Gentz, said: "We are pleased to have Gregor Pottmeyer appointed to the Executive Board. With his competence and his many years of experience in the financial industry he will contribute to the continuing successful work of the executive board team lead by Reto Francioni."
