Laura Martinez rejoins XSP

XSP, the leading global provider of Corporate Actions software, announced today that Laura Martinez has rejoined the company as a Senior Product Manager for its flagship solution, the XSP platform.

Martinez, who held a Co-Chair position on the ISITC Corporate Actions Working Group during her tenure at XSP, returns to the company to add further depth and value to the industry's leading SWIFT ISO Corporate Actions processing solution. Based in Birmingham, AL, Martinez will report to Jennifer Bush, Senior Director of Product Innovation and Major Accounts.

Comprised of 1,500 individuals from 350 companies worldwide, ISITC is an industry trade group focused on standards in transaction processing and related communications. Martinez is an active participant and contributor to the ISITC Corporate Actions Working Group. She works closely with Paul Fullam, Senior Director of Business Strategy at XSP and incumbent Co-Chair of the ISITC Corporate Actions Working Group, to collaborate with fellow ISITC members for the purpose of harmonizing messaging standards and promoting greater straight-through processing in Corporate Actions.

Martinez returns to XSP from EBSCO Industries, where she was Senior Product Manager for one year. She previously served as Principal Product Manager at XSP responsible for ensuring that the company's flagship solution complies with global Securities Market Practice Group (SMPG) initiatives. Martinez reviewed all changes to the SWIFT standards and SMPG guidelines to determine the impact of these changes to the XSP system. She also reviewed all changes made to the XSP system to determine what impact the changes may have on the processing of ISO messages. In addition, Martinez managed the company's research and development initiatives to facilitate introduction of new functionality to the XSP system.

Prior to joining XSP, Martinez served as Business Analyst at Source Medical. Additionally, her previous experience includes a position as IT Manager at Healthsouth, where she worked on various technology initiatives including the re-engineering of the company's intranet site to streamline processing.

Martinez holds an Accounting degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
