Quod Financial today announced the appointment of Cyril Barthélémy as the new Director of product development, overseeing its Adaptive Execution Platform (AEP) and application modules.

Barthélémy will manage the entire product lifecycle, including architecture development and enhancements, to ensure its adaptive trading capabilities keep ahead of customers' evolving multi-asset and electronic execution needs.

Barthélémy joins from GL TRADE where, over a 15-year period, he led projects and developed applications to improve the quality of trading for financial institutions worldwide. He spent several years heading up exchange-related initiatives, first overseeing installations at the Sao Paulo BOVESPA, Singapore SIMEX and Lisbon BVL exchanges then building European venue connectivity for multiple solutions. Barthélémy also directed an internal project to identify and execute product enhancements in preparation for MiFID.

"Cyril's expertise in developing and managing trading solutions internationally will be crucial in accelerating our adaptive trading technology ahead of new opportunities in the financial markets," said Ali Pichvai, CEO, Quod Financial. "Under his direction, Quod Financial will focus on enhancing adaptive execution, routing and analytics to improve performance throughout the trade lifecycle."

"I'm excited to join Quod Financial as the company expands its international presence and continues its investment in technology," said Barthélémy. "Quod Financial's size, expertise and commitment to customers create much potential for flexibility in the development of adaptive trading technologies that respond to the specific needs of buy and sell-side firms."

Based in Paris, Barthélémy will oversee Quod Financial's development team in all aspects of product construction, maintenance and enhancement. He will also direct all major architecture changes and supervise quality controls throughout the product lifecycle.
