Patni makes European appointments

Patni Computer Systems (BSE: PATNI COMPUT, NSE: PATNI, NYSE: PTI), a leading global IT services provider, today announced the appointment of four new senior executives to expand its operation in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) area.

The appointments are an integral part of Patni's overall strategy to build a significant operation in Europe to complement its business operations in the US and India.

Juergen Dillenberger, Senior Sales Manager has more than 22 years of international business experience and has held a series of senior leadership positions in Germany, including Associated Partner with Accenture and Managing Director at goeztpartners. Most recently he was a Vice- President at T-Systems, responsible for the global account with Volkswagen. Juergen has a strong track record in global client management, business strategy and successful delivery of IT solutions & services within the manufacturing and automotive sectors.

Georg Wagner, Vice-President began his career as a project and programme manager for ERP implementation projects. He moved into business consulting and was Global Director for application outsourcing and offshoring at Hewlett-Packard before joining Patni. He has also held significant roles in Deloitte, where he was Senior Manager for large outsourcing engagements and managed Deloitte's European support centre.

Gabi Schulte-Holthaus, Sales Director, SAP Alliance will be responsible for driving sales in Germany and also for Patni's SAP Alliance relationship. She joins Patni from Infosys Technologies and has previously spent seven years as a Global Account Manager at Siemens.

Amit Luthra, Senior Sales Manager, Life Sciences joined Patni from Cognizant, where he was responsible for growing the life sciences business in Switzerland. Before that, Amit spent several years with Accenture Management Consulting Services, where he specialised in the execution of large and complex programmes in areas of supply chain management and business process re-engineering for life sciences companies.

Brian Stones, Executive Vice-President, with responsibility for EMEA, Patni said, "We are delighted to welcome these four eminent colleagues to our team in Europe. They bring an enormous amount of knowledge and experience across a broad range of sectors to the company and will be instrumental in building our fast-expanding customer base in the DACH area."

On 3rd February, Patni announced that its global application management services have been certified by SAP AG to deliver high-quality services based on SAP technology. Patni is SAP's first Indian offshore partner to have received global certification of its ability to deliver application management services.
