Singapore Commodity Exchange board named

Singapore Commodity Exchange Limited (SICOM) is pleased to announce today the members of its new Board of Directors.

The Board comprises Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) senior management and prominent members of the commodities industry, including two senior members of the rubber community.

The members of the new SICOM Board are:

  1. Mr Hsieh Fu Hua (Chairman of the SICOM Board), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), SGX
  2. Mr Gan Seow Ann, Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) & Head of Markets, SGX
  3. Mr Seck Wai Kwong, SEVP & Chief Financial Officer, SGX
  4. Mr Jeremy Ang, CEO, SICOM
  5. Mr Jim Rogers, Chairman, Beeland Interests, Inc
  6. Mr Oei Hong Bie, Chairman, Tong Teik Pte Ltd
  7. Mr Michael Coleman, Managing Director (MD), Aisling Analytics Pte Ltd
  8. Mr Sridhar Krishnan, Senior MD, Olam International Ltd
  9. Mr Tan Khiam Hock, Assistant General Manager, Regional Rubber Trading Co Pte Ltd

Mr Jim Rogers is the co-founder of the Quantum Fund and author of bestselling books titled "Investment Biker: On the Road with Jim Rogers", "Adventure Capitalist: The Ultimate Road Trip", "Hot Commodities: How Anyone can invest Profitably in the World's Best Market", and "A Bull In China". Mr Rogers is also a financial commentator frequently featured in Time, The New York Times, Forbes, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times. He is also a renowned international investor.

Mr Oei Hong Bie has over 60 years of experience in the rubber trade and is also the founder of RCMA Commodities Asia Group. He was formerly RCMA Commodities Asia Chairman from 1998 to 2002.

Mr Michael Coleman has 26 years of commodity trading and trading management experience, previously in Cargill and U Derivatives. He was formerly the Chairman of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce Rubber Association (SICCRA).

Mr Sridhar Krishnan is a member of Olam's Corporate Executive Team. He is also responsible for the company's global rice, wood products and shipping operations.

Mr Tan Khiam Hock has 46 years experience in the marketing, trading, production, logistics and shipping of rubber. He also holds directorship in Lee Rubber Group, a related company of Regional Rubber.
