Mr. Harrison, a veteran financial executive, will provide Mergers & Acquisitions advisory services to information industry clients based in the United Kingdom and Europe, and will assist the New York-based investment bank with cross-border M&A transactions involving UK and European participants.

"Nigel brings us vast transaction experience from his career at ThomsonReuters which completed over 700 acquisitions and 200 divestitures during his time as CFO, Executive Vice-President and a Director, and subsequently with his continuing involvement in M&A, various business start ups and as director of several businesses," said Joseph Berkery, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Berkery Noyes.

"More than most business sectors, the information industry is increasingly global in scope, and the UK and Europe are among the world's most active markets for both innovation and consolidation," said John Shea, Chief Operating Officer of Berkery Noyes. "As both the size and number of our M&A transactions continue to grow, it became necessary to establish a presence in London. With Nigel Harrison on board, we are well positioned to better serve our international client base, and to extend our reputation for superior knowledge and client service to the UK and European markets," added Shea.

Nigel Harrison joins Berkery Noyes with more than 35 years of corporate financial management and transaction experience, much of it at The Thomson Corporation - now ThomsonReuters, a worldwide information leader. During his 25 years at Thomson, Mr. Harrison held increasingly senior financial positions at various Thomson subsidiaries becoming CFO, Executive Vice-President and Director in 1989 until 1998. Since leaving Thomson, Mr. Harrison has managed M&A transactions for privately held companies, participated as founder or senior executive in a number of start-up businesses and served and continues to serve as a Director on various boards. During his career he has been involved in more than US$14 billion of acquisitions, disposals, corporate financings and other strategic transactions.

In his capacity as Senior Managing Director, Mr. Harrison will be involved with existing Berkery Noyes clients in the UK and Europe; source new M&A clients and transactions within the UK and Europe; and work with Berkery Noyes's New York office on cross-border transactions involving UK and European businesses.
