Financial Objects names Richard Fraser sales director, banking division

Financial Objects, an international supplier of software solutions to the financial services sector, has today announced its appointment of Richard Fraser as sales director for its Banking division.

Fraser, whose career spans more than 20 years in the financial technology sector, brings experience from SlaterLabs, Fidelity Information Services and IBM to Financial Objects.

Working closely with the Banking division's managing director, John McKee; Fraser will be responsible for managing a team of sales people, driving sales strategy and working with the product development and marketing teams to determine the future direction of the division's sales. Fraser joins from SlaterLabs, where he was a founding member and shareholder, heading up sales, marketing and communications.

"Over the next two years, we intend to take advantage of all opportunities where our technology can help banks. We will also continue to expand our offerings and provide exceptional services to our clients."

Prior to joining SlaterLabs, Fraser worked as an account director for Fidelity Information Services, where he held major account responsibility for Barclays Bank. He was also responsible for business partner relations with Siemens and IBM.

In his earlier career, Fraser established IBM's core banking division and has lead over 30 successful core banking sales campaigns. He started his career as a management trainee for Northern Rock.
