SunGard Offshore Services appoints Mack Gill president

Mr. Gill is responsible for managing the continued growth of SunGard's offshore development initiatives in India and exploring other geographies in order to expand services available to SunGard and its customers. SunGard Offshore Services (India) now has more than 200 developers working with 13 SunGard product groups on a range of technology platforms. Harsh Barve, chief executive officer of SunGard Offshore Services (India), reports to Mr. Gill and continues to be responsible for managing operations in Pune, a university and software development center 120 miles southeast of Bombay.

Mr. Gill has 10 years experience at SunGard, most recently as corporate vice president in charge of SunGard's corporate alliance program, where he was in charge of developing and managing the company's strategic business partnerships. Previously, Mr. Gill was vice president of business development at Infinity, a global provider of capital markets trading and risk management software, and director of product marketing at Renaissance Software, another trading and risk management software provider, both of which were acquired by SunGard.

Mr. Gill earned a master's in international finance from Yale University after graduating from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Gill is also a member of the board of directors of the International Association of Financial Engineers (IAFE), and co-chairperson of the IAFE Technology Committee.
