XSP appoints Brian Rabon programme director

XSP, the leading global provider of Corporate Actions software, announced today that Brian M. Rabon has joined the company as Program Director.

In this newly-created role, Rabon will be responsible for all program management initiatives impacting XSP's global IT organization, including the direction of the Project Management Office (PMO).

Based in Alabama, Rabon will report to Daniel E. Retzer, Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at XSP.

Retzer commented, "Brian brings considerable IT Project Management and Software Engineering experience to XSP. Rabon joins XSP from Infinity Property and Casualty Corporation, where he was Programming Team Leader, responsible for managing and developing a team of Java/.NET developers. In this role, he also served as lead architect and project manager for the development of the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Rabon led a team in the creation and maintenance of a B2B sales portal policy system, which allowed the company's network of 14,000 independent agencies to manage their books of business. Prior to this role, Rabon was Senior Client/Server Programmer at Infinity, where he developed a configuration change management system for production deployments to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. He also developed and maintained a Web development framework by evaluating and integrating various open source solutions. Rabon has held various other software development positions, with over eleven years of total industry experience.

Rabon is an author of IT-related articles for the Birmingham Business Journal and the Alabama Information Technology Association (AITA). As an adjunct instructor with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he teaches Technical Project Management. He also serves as a Project Manager for the annual TechMixer University event hosted by the TechBirmingham organization.

Rabon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Auburn University and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Birmingham Chapter and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
