Xtrakter, part of the ICMA group of companies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Jinks to the position of Director of Commercial Operations.
Mr Jinks, who joins Xtrakter on March 3, 2008, will report directly to the Chief Executive and be a member of Xtrakter's Executive Committee.
Mr Jinks previously held senior positions at Misys, Omgeo, Checkfree (formerly Heliograph) and most recently BT Global Financial Services division where he was involved in business development and growing the post trade services offered by BT.
Commenting on the appointment Kevin Milne, Chief Executive of Xtrakter, said: "Richard has a proven track record in delivering results and brings a wealth of industry experience to this new role. He will need to increase our revenue streams and expand our market share, while ensuring our existing clients are properly supported. With 15 years of experience in the securities industry, he brings with him an invaluable insight into the crucial issues faced by practitioners. At Checkfree, he held the role of European Sales Director and was responsible for building up the sales, account management and partner management functions. At Omgeo, Mr Jinks was responsible for European Sales and was central to developing the electronic trade confirmation (ETC) community in Europe.
Mr Jinks will head up both the sales and client relations departments at Xtrakter and be responsible for driving forward the commercial operations of this market utility. The Xtrakter product portfolio includes TRAX, its trade matching and transaction reporting system and also a comprehensive market data offering of prices, reference data and original prospectus documents. Xtrakter's data products are delivered to thousands of users in the global markets via major vendors such as Bloomberg and Reuters and icma-info, a web based service.
