Shay will spearhead the growth of BIDS Trading and strategic business development.

In her position, Shay will focus on connecting additional Order Management and Execution Management Systems to the BIDS Trading platform, as well as developing further buy-side connectivity. Shay will also manage overall direction and day-to-day operation of the sales and marketing team.

"Marybeth will prove integral in our concerted effort to form lasting client relations and build upon BIDS Trading's reputation as a unique, alternative liquidity source in the block trading market," said Tim Mahoney, Chief Executive Officer of BIDS Trading. "Marybeth's extensive experience and strong industry ties will be of tremendous importance as BIDS Trading continues to unite the buy-side and sell-side communities and further improve how they trade blocks."

Prior to joining BIDS Trading, Shay served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Boston Equities Exchange (BeX), where she was a member of the Board of Directors of the BSX Group, LLC. Shay was employed by the Boston Stock Exchange for thirteen years, overseeing business and product development, the Market Operations Center and the sales effort for the equity business of the Exchange. She has also worked at Colonial Mutual Funds, in both sales and management capacities.

"I look forward to joining the sales and marketing force at BIDS Trading to offer an even greater number of buy- and sell-side firms access to the growing liquidity on the platform," said Shay. "It will be rewarding to help deliver on BIDS Trading's promise to offer the broadest participation and deepest liquidity pool possible."
