CME Group reports corporate officer promotions

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse exchange, today announced the following Corporate Officer promotions which are effective February 17:

  • Anne E. Bagan, 47, Managing Director, Audits
    Bagan is responsible for overseeing CME Group's Clearing House Audit function. She and her team are responsible for reviewing the financial wherewithal and clearing fee payments for both CME and CBOT clearing member firms. Before joining the company in 1988, Bagan held auditing and accounting roles for Arthur Andersen and Saul Stone & Company. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
  • Edward M. Gogol, 54, Managing Director, Clearing Solutions
    Gogol is responsible for providing technical leadership for CME Clearing systems, including Clearing 21 and CME SPAN. Prior to joining the company in 1987, Gogol held financial and accounting systems consulting roles. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Chicago and a master of management degree in finance from Northwestern University's J. L. Kellogg School of Management.
  • Philip J. Papesh, 52, Managing Director, Exchange Business Systems Development
    Papesh oversees administrative systems - over 40 applications that support the company's regulatory, financial, membership, human resources, enterprise database and market statistic systems which store and disseminate information to ensure a fair and transparent marketplace. Before joining the company in 2000, Papesh held technology management and systems integration roles for Tava Technologies and for Inland Steel Co. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago.
  • John C. Peschier, 40, Managing Director, Investor Relations
    Peschier serves as the primary liaison between CME Group and the investment community. Before joining the company in 2001, Peschier served in investor relations roles for Union Pacific Corp., F.Y.I. Incorporated and marchFIRST. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Uniss administration from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA degree in finance and corporate strategy from the University of Michigan.
  • Aditya Agrawal, 40, Director, Internal Audit
    Agrawal is responsible for the company's internal audit team and for reporting on the company's internal controls to its Board-level Audit Committee. Before joining the company in 2005, Agrawal served in consulting, operations, technology and audit roles at American Express TBS, SDG Corporation, Transamerica Finance Corporation, Aerial Communication and First Chicago NBD Corporation. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Panjab University, a master's degree in computer applications from Thapar Institute of Engineering, a master's degree in computer science from SUNY Tech. and an MBA degree in finance and international business from University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Financial Services Auditor, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Fraud Examiner.
  • Sunil Cutinho, 36, Director, Enterprise Architecture
    Cutinho is responsible for improving technology collaboration with business units, developing a technology strategy aligned with the CME Group business strategy and providing technology analysis for business development activities, mergers and acquisitions. He has over 14 years of technology experience including various positions at CNA Insurance, Proxicom, VISA International and GDS. He joined CME Group in 2002. Cutinho earned a bachelor's degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the University of Madras in Madras, India.
  • Kate Darcy, 35, Director, Market Education
    Darcy is responsible for leading the development and execution of the company's global education strategy as she works to establish CME Group as the source of education thought leadership in the derivatives and risk management industries. Before joining the company in 2000, Darcy held portfolio and relationship management roles at Heller Financial and Bank One. She earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and finance from the University of Dayton and an MBA degree in Marketing and Management and Strategy from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
  • Dennis Genetski, 39, Director, Front-end Systems Technology
    Genetski is responsible for the development of the company's market data systems and Internet solutions. Before joining the company in 1999, Genetski held technology positions with Utec Consulting Group, Chicago Capital, and Robert Genetski and Associates. He earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
  • Dmitriy Glinberg, 38, Director, Risk Systems Development
    Glinberg is responsible for providing advanced risk management capabilities, especially CME SPAN(R) (Standard Portfolio Analysis of Risk), within CME Clearing. Before joining the company in 1998, Glinberg held software development roles for Andersen Consulting LLP (now Accenture) and Northwestern University. He earned a master's degree in computer science from Moscow State Institute of Radio-Engineering Electronics and Automation and his MBA from the University of Chicago.
  • Stanley M. Howarth, 48, Director, Environment Support Group
    Howarth oversees the management of CME Group's quality assurance and development testing environments. Before joining the company in 1996, Howarth held a variety of technology consulting positions in Canada. He earned an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and an Associate Degree in Computer Science from Mount Royal College in Alberta. He also earned a bachelor's degree in business management and an MBA in technology management, both from the University of Phoenix. He also holds a Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager.
  • Gautam Khanna, 35, Director, Market Operations Technical Support
    Khanna oversees technical support for CME Globex, as well as the technical support of market operations in both certification and production environments. Before joining the company in 1998, Khanna held programming and network support positions for Legacy Technologies, Kinetic Technologies and Andrews Information Systems. He earned a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India; a master's degree in administration from Andrews University and a master's degree cum laude in information systems from DePaul University.
  • Walt Litzenberger, 49, Director, Enterprise Database Systems
    Litzenberger is responsible for the design, installation, tuning and support of all mainframe and distributed mission critical database management systems for CME Group. Prior to joining the company in 1997, Litzenberger held technology roles at Helene Curtis and Chicago and North Western Transportation. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Drake University.
  • Lawrence Nawrot, 49, Director, Quality Management
    Nawrot is responsible for quality management of the company's CME Globex electronic trading platform. Since joining the company in 1986, Nawrot has held positions of increasing responsibility in the company's Technology Division. Previously, he held several management positions with Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from DePaul University and a JD degree from Northwestern University.
  • Frances L. Sisul, 34, Director, Compensation & Benefits
    Sisul is responsible for managing the strategic direction, development and day-to-day implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs, as well as oversees the company's health care center. Before joining the company in 2004, Sisul held compensation roles at Hewitt Associates and DePaul University. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Northwestern University and a master's degree in public services management from DePaul University.
  • Gregory H. Swallow, 38, Director, Clearing IT Architecture and Delivery
    Swallow is responsible for CME Group's Clearing IT software architecture, software quality assurance and project management. Before joining the company in 2003, Swallow served in software development consulting roles for Accenture. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Bradley University.
  • Joseph C. Tramontana, 37, Director, Staff Systems
    Tramontana is responsible for managing the company's enterprise database, an internal system that supports membership, shareholder relations, the CME Globex Control Center, CME Globex Account Management, trading floor support and regulatory surveillance. He is responsible for entity data management and registration strategies that support CME Group's ability to attract prospective strategic partners. Before joining the company in 1999, Tramontana held various roles of increasing responsibility at technology consulting firms. He earned a
    bachelor's degree in computer science and applied data processing from Northern Illinois University.
  • John Verburgt, 40, Director, Compliance and Controls
    Verburgt oversees the company's compliance and internal controls program. Prior to joining the company in 2004, Verburgt worked seven years in financial and technology roles at McDonald's Corporation. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from DePaul University and an MBA degree in finance from Loyola University in Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
