Comdata names Louis Capolino VP, permit services

Comdata Corporation, a leader in payment innovation, has named Louis Capolino as vice president of permit services in the company's Regulatory Compliance division.

Comdata has issued over 25 million permits and currently issues approximately 1,000 permit types in 48 states and several Canadian provinces.

Capolino has over 25 years of industry experience in trucking compliance and logistics, most recently as a consultant to Flocap, providing advisory services to the diversified holding company (3PL) on start-up and turnaround strategies in compliance, logistics, supply chain, warehousing, and distribution. Capolino previously served as vice president of operations for Venezia Group and vice president of operations for Apple Transport Group. He has held management positions with Transport International Pool, Direct Transit, and Tri State Enterprises.

"Louis has an impressive background in the trucking industry," said Tom Rushfeldt, senior vice president and general manager of Comdata's Regulatory Compliance division. "He will help enhance and solidify Comdata's position as the marketplace leader in regulatory compliance solutions."

Capolino has authored articles for several industry publications, including Transport Topics, Heavy Duty Trucking and Inbound Logistics. He holds a BBA from Pace College and was awarded the Venezia Leadership award, the TIP Sales award and the Direct Transit Leadership award. Capolino has chaired both the driver retention and recruiting committee as well as the labor and human relations committee for the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA).

Capolino will report out of Comdata's Irving, TX office.
