TietoEnator Banking & Insurance UK names Chris Black sales director

TietoEnator Banking & Insurance UK has recruited Chris Black to the role of Sales Director. Black has been appointed to spearhead the growth in sales of new and existing solutions for the UK market.

He joins TietoEnator from Lloyds TSB where he was responsible for providing services to Group IT for all IT procurement investment projects, with a budget of £400 million.

Prior to this, Black was Business Development Director at Aconite where his role covered the UK and Middle East, and he built a number of successful partnerships and established a strong client base. His career in the retail banking sector has spanned over 20 years and his clients have included HSBC, NatWest and Nationwide in the UK.

Commenting on his new role, Black said: "Working in IT procurement gave me an insight into different vendor offerings, and TietoEnator is at the forefront of developing products for retail banking and really stands apart from other solution providers. I am very excited by this opportunity to develop and lead the sales team and give this progressive company the profile it deserves in financial services."

Chris Black lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and two teenage children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and is a keen fan of Rugby Union.
