Gilles Monat will be responsible for sales in the French-speaking countries while the English-speaking market will be the remit of Jonathan Woodward. Until recently, Gilles Monat was managing the Belgian and Luxembourg subsidiary of a leading international supplier of financial software. Jonathan Woodward was a key figure in the development of a pan-European Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF).

Monat and Woodward will be responsible for the recruitment of market participants to the Equiduct Trading market which empowers them to achieve the "best result" for their clients, in accordance with MiFID (European Market in Financial Instruments Directive).

Artur Fischer, Chairman of Börse Berlin Equiduct Trading, commented on the appointments: "Equiduct Trading offers added value for clients throughout Europe. In countries such as UK and France, there is already greater awareness of the opportunities offered by MiFID than in Germany. I am delighted to have secured the services of Gilles and Jonathan, who are not only highly committed but also bring considerable experience to our project and will be of great value in developing our European sales network."
