Mutual Fund Technologies (MFT), the specialist transfer agency software, services and consulting company, announced today the appointments of Debbie Lawrence as Head of Relationship Management and Erna Wessels-Ridder as Head of Finance.
Debbie will be responsible for the strategic development of all client activities across MFT's international client base. She joins MFT from Thomson Financial where, as Director of Content Services for Europe and Asia, she held overall responsibility for setting the direction and priorities for content strategy, as well as leading a pre and post sales support team. Previously, Debbie spent ten years at Reuters as Marketing Manager for Africa and Head of Emerging Markets Business Development for the EMEA region
Erna will be responsible for all aspects of financial analysis, modelling, reporting and control for the company. She joins MFT from The Carphone Warehouse/AOL Broadband, where she was responsible for financial planning and analysis for the UK Networks and Technology Departments. She also provided commercial support for the AOL UK Broadband business, advising on partnership deals, new business developments and cost saving synergies. Previously, Erna had managed the European Operations Finance Team for Level 3 Communications, a US start-up Telecoms Company, after moving to the UK from South Africa, where she was part of the senior management team of the South African Police Service (SAPS).
David White, Executive Director at MFT, says "With new clients and a growing global reach, our business has undergone significant expansion. Funds under administration on our transfer agency platform have reached $650 billion, a boost of 30% in under a year, largely due to new clients and the growing popularity of STP. We continue to extend our global footprint and product range and I welcome Debbie's and Erna's valuable commercial and international experience".
