Merchant e-Solutions (MeS), a leader in payment processing services, continues to make growth investments in its e-commerce business sector, first by developing payment solutions that are specifically engineered for card-not-present transactions, and now by announcing the appointment of Kevin Gallagher as the General Manager of the MeS e-Commerce business.
Gallagher, with over 14 years of payment processing experience - most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Alliances at Chase Paymentech - is responsible for continuing to develop and grow the MeS e-Commerce business through channel partnerships and direct merchant sales.
"We are delighted that Kevin Gallagher has joined Merchant e-Solutions," says Sharif Bayyari, CEO. "Kevin's industry experience and our proprietary payment services provide a perfect combination that will enable us to continue to grow our presence in the e-commerce arena."
In focusing on the needs of e-commerce merchants, MeS has developed a payment system with a direct exchange interface to Visa, as well as the MeS e-Commerce Payment Gateway and Virtual Terminal, which provide for better control of costs, interchange qualification, and service levels. The payment solutions provided by MeS are comprehensive and PCI compliant and designed with features that eliminate the need for merchants to store cardholder data, thereby reducing the merchant's PCI DSS compliance responsibilities
"MeS is a fast growing payments company with an incredible technology platform that is perfect for merchants who are using the Internet to drive the delivery of merchandise and services," says Kevin Gallagher. "I'm excited about how the solutions provided by MeS can help merchants better manage the payment aspect of their businesses and look forward to matching our solutions with merchant needs."
Separately, Merchant e-Solutions (MeS) is pleased to announce the availability of the VeriFone Vx-570 terminal through the MeS Payment Network. The Vx-570 works with either a standard dial-up connection or an IP (Internet) connection.
The adoption of this terminal represents the latest expansion of internet- based POS solutions offered by MeS. With a powerful processor, built-in thermal printer, expanded memory, and ATM-like interface, transactions are processed quickly and easily. Plus, the terminal is PCI PED approved by Visa and MasterCard for pin-based debit transactions-ensuring compliance with the very latest security standards. Other benefits that enhance the IP connectivity option include improved IP transaction speeds and a troubleshooting 'URL' repair feature.
When used in conjunction with the MeS Payment Network, merchants can enjoy a very quick terminal-based payment solution that's PCI compliant and secure from end-to-end.
MeS Virtual Terminal & Payment Gateway
In addition to supporting the latest and most secure terminals, MeS offers other secure payment solutions, including the MeS Payment Gateway and MeS Virtual Terminal.
The MeS Payment Gateway is ideal for e-commerce businesses. It's based on a simple API that's easy on a merchant's IT resources and easy to integrate into existing order-entry products, shopping carts, and electronic retail systems. The MeS Payment Gateway supports e-commerce, mail order, business-to- business, and card present payment processing needs while enabling transactions to qualify for the lowest possible card association fees. Special features include support for recurring and installment payments without the need to store card numbers, the use of multiple business names through a single merchant account, and the automatic reversal of unsettled transactions
The MeS Virtual Terminal is designed for merchants who want to use a PC to process credit card transactions. It's a browser-based payment solution- requiring only a computer, a browser, and access to the web. The MeS Virtual Terminal is maintenance free, with all changes handled centrally by Merchant e-Solutions, so merchants never have to update payment software. Special features include support for card present and not present transactions, single and batched transactions, and recurring and installment payments.
