The JPMorgan Chase Technology Center will be built on the western end of the Syracuse University campus, across from the Carrier Dome stadium.

Construction is scheduled to begin late next year for the JPMorgan Chase Technology Center. The Technology Center will house JPMorgan Chase employees, technology research labs, meeting rooms, and training and collaboration rooms. With its central location in the upstate New York community, the center will be a future hub of technology training for pre-college students, students at public universities and colleges in the area as well as those attending Syracuse University. The Technology Center will be the site for financial technology internships and an opportunity for students to work alongside JPMorgan Chase employees.

JPMorgan Chase will aim for Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification in constructing the building. Reflecting the firm's commitment to the environment and sustainable development, the new center will feature the latest technology in water and energy efficiency to reduce energy consumption and utilize natural light. Recycled and sustainable materials will be used in the building construction. These green features are modeled on JPMorgan Chase's experience with renovations underway at its world headquarters in New York City, and construction of new buildings in lower Manhattan and London.

Syracuse University experts will collaborate in designing the green facility, drawing on cutting-edge research being conducted through the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems. The Center is a federation of over 140 firms, organizations, and institutions that create innovations to improve health, productivity, security, and sustainability in man-made/urban environments. Syracuse University faculty and the Center offer expertise in research, product development, and commercialization focusing on systems that monitor and control thermal comfort, air quality, lighting, sound, and water quality in these man-made/urban environments -- along with innovative energy systems that include clean technologies and renewable fuel sources.
