Monitise adds John Brougham and Tom Spurgeon to the board

Monitise ('Monitise'; LSE: MONI.L), the global leader in the provision of mobile banking and payment services, announces two Board appointments with immediate effect.

John Brougham has been appointed to the Board as a non-executive Director. He will also be taking up the role of Chairman of the Audit Committee. John (56) is Finance Director of BT Transformation, having previously spent six years as CFO of BT Global Services which serves BT's large corporate customers and runs all the Group's activities outside the UK, generating annual revenue of approximately £9bn. John joined BT in June 1986 and from that time has held a number of divisional FD and CFO roles as well as spending over five years as Director of Investor Relations. In 2004 he was appointed to the BT Group Leadership Forum, comprising the leaders of BT's business and key Group functions.

Tom Spurgeon has been appointed to the Board in the position of CFO. Tom (39) joined the company in 2006 as Finance Director and has been responsible for the financial management of the business, overseeing the demerger from Morse plc and the subsequent Admission and Placing on AIM. Prior to joining Monitise he was UK Finance Director of Morse plc, helping to drive the transition of this technology business.
