CheckFree Corporation (Nasdaq: CKFR) today announced the hiring of experienced industry veteran Lana Cheng-Minafra as vice president, Client Accounts, to head its new San Francisco office.
Cheng-Minafra comes to CheckFree most recently from JPMorgan Private Client Services, where she was first vice president responsible for the separately managed account sponsor products. Prior to JPMorgan, Cheng-Minafra was vice president for Schwab's managed accounts platform. Cheng-Minafra is an active industry advocate participating on the Money Management Institute (MMI) Vendor Subcommittee from 2004 to 2007 and has served on the MMI Operations and Technology Subcommittee since 2004.

Cheng-Minafra is responsible for directing the client account team that is dedicated to CheckFree's clients in the Western region. CheckFree has achieved significant client growth on the West Coast, by providing market-leading products and solutions to the investment management industry. CheckFree's local office of dedicated client support will add significant value to our client relationships and help them address the concentration of wealth in the Greater Bay Area.
