Chatsworth Communications has hired former Icap financial expert, Paul Harris, as an advisor to the agency's global financial markets and technology team.
Chatsworth Communications is a UK-based public relations and research team with a focus on the financial services, technology and industrial sectors.
Harris has over 20 years experience in marketing electronic trading and information services to the financial markets, specialising in the foreign exchange and equity markets.
As commercial alliance manager for ICAP foreign exchange, he managed global strategic relationships with major banks including ABN Amro, JP Morgan and RBS. His work and relationships helped to secure increased trading volumes from USD 1 billion a day to USD 46 billion over a three year period.
Paul will support the Chatsworth team from its Clerkenwell office, working alongside the team's network of hand-picked media relations experts in the key financial markets of New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing.
Chatsworth supported EBS, the foreign exchange broker acquired by ICAP in early 2006, in the years running up to its sale to ICAP. Over this period EBS increased its market penetration in developed markets and increasingly in emerging markets including Korea and China.
Nick Murray-Leslie, Director of Financial Markets, Chatsworth said: "Paul knows the financial markets and technology from his work at the heart of the international banking community.
"He brings invaluable experience of managing B2B relationships with the world's largest banks and hedge funds and his decision to work with Chatsworth is a major coup for our team, and our financial services clients."
