Wombat Adds Lobene, Pyle and Gow to North American sales team

Wombat Financial Software, the low-latency trading technology experts, has today announced a number of senior appointments to bolster the North American arm of its global sales organization.

Mark Lobene, who will be based in New York, has filled the newly created position of Senior Director, Major Account Sales and is responsible for managing Wombat's tier one accounts and helping to implement its overall global sales strategy. Lobene is joined by Brian Pyle and Mike Gow who have been appointed as Senior Account Executives to direct the firm's sales programs. Based in New York, Pyle is responsible for Northeast accounts while Gow shall be based in the Chicago office to manage the Midwest and West Coast accounts.

Reporting to Yockel, the trio join at a time that Wombat is building out its product suite to meet the unprecedented levels of demand for trading technologies. The company has been quick to harness and leverage new technologies in creating a platform now encompassing high speed middleware, algorithmic trading analysis tools, entitlements controls, and global market data connectivity .

Lobene brings over 20 years of technology and financial markets leadership experience to Wombat. Most recently as VP Business Development at Enigmatec, he secured the firm's first sales and established an international sales team. Previously, Lobene served Sapient Corporation (SAPE) as VP Sales, where he built and managed a domestic staff to support the North American Operations and played a key role in SAPE's European expansion. Lobene was also managing director, North American business development, at TIBCO's (TIBX) predecessor company, Teknekron Software Systems. At TIBCO, Lobene anchorred its New York office, was instrumental in the development of its Canadian and Chicago offices, and led its first sales in the UK.

Pyle brings 10 years of enterprise software experience. Prior to joining Wombat he served TIBCO (TIBX) as a senior solutions consultant in the FSI business unit working with tier one investment banks and asset management clients. His work at TIBCO was primarily focused on messaging, SOA, and BPM solutions throughout the front, mid and back office operations. Prior to his pre sales role at TIBCO, Pyle worked for Sybase in their professional services consulting group and as a systems consultant in the FSI group in New York.

Gow brings over 11 years of enterprise software sales, account management and financial markets experience to Wombat. Before joining the company he served Thomson Financial, selling financial solutions to firms in the Midwest and West Coast regions. Prior to this role Gow worked for New York based FAME Information Services as Regional Sales Manager. His sales background also includes experience at Reuters America.
