Roger Barrios appointed CIO of TSYS Acquiring Solutions

TSYS Acquiring Solutions today announced that it has appointed Roger A. Barrios as chief information officer.

Barrios will be responsible for all TSYS Acquiring Solutions information technology functions and will report to Robert J. Philbin, president of TSYS Acquiring Solutions

"Roger's proven expertise in business technology and strong leadership capabilities will enable him to make a strong contribution to our company. We are very pleased to welcome Roger to the TSYS Acquiring team."

Barrios was most recently with RBS Lynk, the 10th largest payments processor in the United States, where he served as chief information officer. Prior to RBS Lynk, Barrios was the founder, president and chief executive officer of AmQUEST, Inc., an IT outsourcing services company. He oversaw the business from start-up through its transition after acquisition by Infocrossing, Inc. In addition, he has held technology leadership roles with American Software, Inc., Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and Electronic Data Systems.

Barrios holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla.
