TietoEnator to centralise internal helpdesk; 40 jobs at risk

TietoEnator is taking the next step on the roadmap of internationalization and internal efficiency. The company's internal ICT support, called Service Desk, which currently operates in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Belgium will be centralized in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The decision will affect the work of around 40 Service Desk employees in these countries and measures to minimize the impacts on personnel has been started.

The centralization will take place in phases. The transfer period will start on 1 September 2007 and will be completed by the end of March 2008. This decision will have no impact on TietoEnator's external customers.

The Czech Service Desk will serve TietoEnator employees in all of its 30 operating countries. The support will be available 24/7 and all service will be provided in English.
