The Financial Services group for BSG Alliance Corporation, the platform for Next Generation Enterprises, On Demand, today announced the addition of two financial services industry leaders to senior management roles to oversee initiatives the group has underway for its growing client roster.
The newly appointed executives at BSG Alliance will partner with Managing Director Tom Steinthal to complete the Financial Services group's senior management team. Mr. Steinthal, who opened the New York-based office in June, joined BSG Alliance with twenty years of experience in managing successful in-house and consulting assignments for industry leaders such as Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette.
"On behalf of all of BSG Alliance, I can say we're truly delighted to have David and Ryan join the company," said Mr. Steinthal, managing director of BSG Alliance, New York. "They each bring unique talents to a team that has a diverse mix of strategists, deep thinkers, technologists, and business developers, all versed in fast moving business climates and large scale organizational transformation. The financial services industry is at the center of a perfect storm of activity right now, between consolidation among consultants and the ramp-up of the Enterprise 2.0 technology paradigm. David and Ryan will be able to jump right into that and deliver immediate value to our customers."
The new executives are:
David Lustig will serve as Managing Director of Business Development. Prior to joining BSG Alliance, David was the head of Business Development at Accenture Capital Markets Solutions group. Prior to Accenture, David was the Vice President of Business Development at Random Walk Computing, where he was in charge of Sales Operations and Marketing, in addition to managing the firm's strategic accounts. David was the lead contributor to Random Walk's distinction as the premier technology consulting boutique on Wall Street. Prior to his tenure at Random Walk, he was Sales and Marketing Director for Tefen USA. David's successes at Tefen established Tefen's foundation as the foremost industrial engineering group in the US. He holds a BA in International Relations from Hebrew University and an MBA from the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management.
Ryan Glassberg will serve as Managing Director of Business Development, sharing responsibility for global sales and marketing. Prior to joining BSG Alliance, Ryan was in charge of global capital market sales at SunGard Consulting, which he helped build into one of the fastest growing business units under the SunGard umbrella. Prior to that, he was with Random Walk Computing, which he helped to establish as the first Java consultancy to build high volume trading platforms. Earlier in his career, Mr. Glassberg, who is a Chartered Financial Analyst, worked at Salomon Brothers where he performed equity research focusing on the technology sector. He holds a BS in business from the University of Maryland.
A Lengthening List of Initiatives Underway, More Hiring Anticipated
Since BSG Alliance announced the opening of its New York-based Financial Services office only two months ago, a growing number of Wall Street's top firms have been enlisting BSG's unique experience and expertise in Next Generation Enterprise transformation. As a result of this demand, BSG anticipates additional senior and staff-level hiring in the near future. The resulting increase in space requirements has BSG planning to move into larger offices before year end.
"Wall Street firms are facing a shortage of options, where many of the smaller, consulting boutiques have disappeared in acquisitions," says Steve Papermaster, BSG Alliance Corp. chairman and CEO. "The larger consulting firms that remain follow an assembly line approach. They are long on resources but short on service. This has left a void that we are coming into with strong customer service, proven leadership, and a laser focus. At BSG Alliance, we provide a vision for applying the world of on-demand strategy, technology, and consulting as a platform upon which our customers can immediately take action and begin moving their business to a next generation enterprise."
BSG Alliance's financial services client relationships, through the company's Applications, Delivery, and BSG Concours research, education and strategy divisions, include global leaders such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Thomson Financial, ING Bank, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank, Washington Mutual, and ABN AMRO.
"BSG Concours has been one of the most innovative consulting companies I have worked with in my career," said David H. Shaffer, executive chairman of Thomson Learning and former CEO of Thomson Financial. "Their commitment to driving intellectual capital into the consulting experience has been evident in the work we have completed with them."
BSG Alliance's approach is focused on a new, on-demand work style where the web is no longer viewed as merely a sideline, but rather a true platform where business is done. BSG Alliance's Financial Services team applies this approach by delivering strategic frameworks and tools, real-time analysis, and custom software development designed specifically for the needs of financial services companies. The company is focused on delivering Enterprise 2.0 capabilities for driving innovation and time-to-market advantage for its capital markets, banking, and other financial services customers.
