Aconite names Chris Lomax marketing director

Aconite, the international smart card software solutions provider and security consultancy, has appointed Chris Lomax to the new position of marketing director.

In his role Chris will drive the development, management and execution of the organisation's global marketing strategy to customers in key markets worldwide. His main remit will be to drive awareness of the organisation's business solutions, services and expertise to customers and help it expand and drive profitable growth worldwide.

The new appointment is a key development in Aconite's plans to strengthen its position as the world’s leading provider of smart card solutions, EMV and security consulting for the banking and retail sectors. With a strong presence in Europe and the Middle East, Aconite plans to capitalise on the huge growth in demand for its technology and expertise from banks and retailers, particularly with the regulatory driven adoption of smart cards. Lomax's expertise will also help the company expand its offering internationally and develop a foothold in other key emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific region.

Chris Lomax joins Aconite with a strong reputation as a leading marketeer within the smart cards, payments and information security industry having gained twenty years experience in senior marketing, business and technology roles. Prior to joining Aconite, Lomax was vice president and marketing director at Datacard where he was responsible for the full worldwide marketing mix of the software and solution business. Previously, Lomax developed his capabilities in the security and risk management technology space, where he headed up marketing and product management for the security division of Racal. A Masters graduate from Cranfield, Lomax possesses a wealth of experience of different markets worldwide, having worked with clients within the finance, healthcare, government and retail sectors.
