Tsys promotes Weaver and Harrelson to EVPs

Dorenda K. Weaver and Ryland L. Harrelson have been promoted to executive vice president, effective May 2.

"Dorenda and Ryland are consummate professionals and the go-to persons in their respective areas of responsibility," says M. Troy Woods, president and chief operating officer of TSYS. "These promotions recognize their many accomplishments."

Dorenda K. Weaver, executive vice president, chief accounting officer and controller. Weaver is a 21-year veteran of TSYS, serving on the management committee since 2004 when she was named chief accounting officer and controller. Previously, Weaver held numerous leadership positions within the accounting and finance areas at TSYS. She began her career at TSYS after graduation from Columbus State University, where she received an Associate in Science in Business Administration in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She also is a graduate of Troy State University where she received a Master of Science in Personnel Management.

Ryland L. Harrelson, executive vice president, administrative services. Harrelson is a 9-year veteran of TSYS, having joined TSYS in 1998 leading its Human Resources department. Prior to joining TSYS he was HR director at Sears Roebuck & Co. In April 2004, Ryland was promoted to the Management Committee of TSYS and in addition to his Human Resources responsibilities, assumed responsibility for the Corporate Real Estate and Operational Excellence teams. Partnering with the TSYS business units, Harrelson designed and implemented innovative and contemporary human resources strategies that have materially improved the competitiveness of the organization. Ryland holds a Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina Wesleyan College and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Business School, Human Resource Executive Program.
