Financial Objects, a leading provider of software solutions for banking, wealth management and energy, today announced the appointment of credit risk specialist Bruno Plaskow as a senior business consultant in the Energy Division.

Plaskow brings years of industry experience to the position following a career spanning in-house roles with Barclays, RWE and Constellation Energy Commodities Group. He also worked in an advisory role for the Bank of England on the use of credit derivatives in the energy sector.

Plaskow has previously formed and chaired a working group to produce a standard Master Netting Agreement for use in the energy sector, jointly supported by the International Energy Credit Association and EFET. He also contributed to a working group, sponsored by the Futures & Option Authority, of European energy experts reporting on credit risk best practice for the power trading sector.

"I'm looking forward to adding my experience as a credit risk professional to the Financial Objects team. My aim will be to provide practical business input to the further development and future strategy for the suite of energycredit product modules," said Plaskow. "I will also be working with the growing client base on their credit exposure management, analytics, collateral and scoring procedures, to ensure optimal functionality across the solution. The aim is to give clients an efficient and comprehensive system to cover their full credit risk management requirements."

Commenting on the appointment, Roland Jones, Managing Director for the Energy division at Financial Objects, said:"Bruno's appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to draw on industry expertise. Such experience will bring important extra insight into the development of products within the Energy division. Bruno will also be invaluable in working with our clients to drill down to determine their exact operational needs and make sure Financial Objects is able to continue to deliver the best solutions in the market.
