Fincentric Corporation is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has appointed Alice Laberge as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Laberge has served as Fincentric's Chief Financial Officer since 2000 and has been directly involved in the company's strategic planning and international operations, in addition to the finance function.

"Since joining Fincentric and its executive management team in October 2000, Alice has clearly demonstrated leadership and business acumen that has greatly benefited the company," said Robin Louis, Chairman of Fincentric's Board of Directors. "Her leadership and experience will help take Fincentric to its next level of growth."

Laberge brings more than 20 years of senior management experience to this role. Prior to joining Fincentric, Laberge worked at MacMillan Bloedel Limited, now part of Weyerhaeuser Company, where she held a number of positions including Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance. As a member of MacMillan Bloedel's executive management team, Laberge was involved in setting the company's long-term strategic direction.

As an active leader in the Vancouver community, Alice Laberge serves as director on a number of local not-for-profit Boards including the United Way of the Lower Mainland and Saint Paul's Hospital Foundation of Vancouver. She also serves on the Boards of BC Hydro and Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan.

In 2001, Laberge was honored with the 2001 PEAK Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Association of Women in Finance. Laberge holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta.
