Phase3 is SunGard's real-time securities processing solution for broker/dealers and correspondent clearing firms, delivered in an application service provider (ASP) environment.

With 22 years in the technology industry, Mr. McLemore spent the last 5 years prior to joining SunGard at The Brink's Company, where he was director of global software development. Prior to that, he spent 8 years at Southwest Securities, where he managed both the service bureau and in-house application aspects of the firm's operations, which cleared for up to 250 correspondents at the time, and gained knowledge of outsourcing relationships both as a vendor and as a client.

As vice president of product development for Phase3, Mr. McLemore will be responsible for the development of enhancements in support of the strategic direction of the Phase3 solution, and for ensuring the right talent, technologies, and processes are in place to deliver high quality results consistently in all Phase3 product development.

"William's extensive knowledge of back-office operational workflow and specific investment products, and his experience with leading complex and diverse development organizations, make him a tremendous asset for both SunGard and for Phase3 customers," said Gerard Murphy, president of SunGard Securities Processing's Phase3 unit. "We are pleased to have him on our senior management team, and are confident in his leadership to drive the continued success of Phase3 and exceed customer expectations for professionalism, quality and dependability."
