FIX CITY, a global software provider of FIX Indication of Interest (IOI) solutions, today announced the appointment of Matthew Barkway, as director of sales, and Kate Roberts, as account manager, at its UK office.

Barkway joins FIX CITY's co-founders, Paul Scott, Amy Muddimer and Karl Breeze, on the board of directors. The appointments follow significant growth in the number of buy- and sell-side firms using ioinet, FIX CITY's web-based IOI distribution solution.

With almost 20 years' experience in senior trading and sales roles, Barkway, previously sales manager at FIX CITY, will head sales strategy, lead new business negotiation and oversee the UK sales team. Prior to joining FIX CITY in October 2005, Barkway's former roles include European sales director at Nexa Technologies, sales manager at Autex and sales/account manager at GL Trade.

Matthew Barkway, director of sales, FIX CITY, comments: "ioinet's innovative approach to publishing IOIs and Trade Adverts has gained the support of the leading buy- and sell-side firms. It has more than doubled its client base in the last 12 months and we are eager to see this momentum gather pace with continued expansion throughout Europe and the US."

Roberts, previously global relationship manager with OMGEO and client connectivity manager with ABN AMRO, has 14 years' industry experience. In her new role, as account manager, Roberts will focus on further reinforcing relationships with ioinet's buy- and sell-side clients, and developing awareness of the global solution.

Paul Scott, director, FIX CITY, adds: "Matthew has been instrumental in building ioinet's community of buy- and sell-side firms over the past year. These appointments, combined with our ongoing focus on product development and client support, will help us cement our position as the most comprehensive and effective independent IOI solution available."
