FutureTrade appoints John Lopez principal architect

FutureTrade, a leading provider of electronic equity, option and algorithmic trading, today announced that John Lopez has joined as Principal Architect.

Reporting to Murray Finebaum, CEO of FutureTrade, Mr. Lopez is responsible for ensuring that the popular FutureTrade platform continues to scale to meet the needs of its growing user base and continues to innovate in the rapidly changing market for electronic trading tools.

Mr. Lopez was most recently Principal Architect at Pipeline Trading where he helped to define and prototype the block trading system. Prior to Pipeline, Mr. Lopez was a Financial Services Consultant with Microsoft where he assisted some of the largest financial institutions in establishing a web presence for trading and re-engineered an ECN trading system to scale and be more robust. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Lopez held various information technology and technical management roles at Reuters during his 10 years with that company.
