This newly created role is in response to TEMENOS’ continued organic growth and follows the creation of other senior roles this year. In 2006, TEMENOS has appointed Mark Cullinane as chief operating officer, Mark Gunning as group strategy director and Greg Green as managing director, TEMENOS™ COREBANKING.

Peter comments: "Over the past few years, I’ve observed TEMENOS consistently secure a high share of the market with its advanced products and establish itself as a global brand. The core banking market has now reached a crucial turning point and I look forward to playing a pivotal role in leveraging TEMENOS’ strong position to further grow the business and address the needs of each market segment."

Peter has 20 years’ experience working in the financial technology sector. His career includes senior management roles at Reuters in sales, business administration and product management, e-business director at QSP Financial Information Systems and head of investor services and transactions at Interactive Investor International. He also held the position of marketing director at Misys Asset Management Systems from 2002 and was most recently marketing and then sales director at Gissing Software. In this time Peter has accumulated knowledge and proven senior management expertise across all areas in product, marketing and sales management.

Andreas Andreades, CEO, TEMENOS, adds: "TEMENOS has grown tremendously over the past few years in terms of client acquisition, revenue and organisational structure. In this time, we’ve invested in our technology, built a strong brand and established valuable relationships with clients, prospects and industry players. It’s now time to move to the next level and with Peter on board we can accelerate our global go-to-market strategy and secure our position as the true leader in this space."
