GL Trade restructures

GL TRADE has grown significantly in recent years, from a trading and market access solutions supplier to a full Front to Back provider on cash and derivatives markets for the sell side community. Today the sell side’s needs are becoming more complex and the buy side community is demanding more electronic connectivity and adapted trading solutions. Also risk management and regulatory evolutions are becoming mandatory for both communities.

In response to these market evolutions, GL TRADE is restructuring its organization to leverage its product range and sales & support network to provide the best solutions and services for customers.
Building on the enrichment of its range of products, GL TRADE has created dedicated Business Lines to handle product and marketing strategies, manage R&D plans, coordinate global accounts and maximize transversal product synergies. This will greatly benefit the international Sales and Support teams.
Jean Pierre Baron, former Managing Director of GL TRADE Asia, has been appointed Managing Director of the Trading Solutions Business Line, responsible for about 60 % of the group's existing turnover. Vincent Burzynski, former Director of Products, has been appointed Managing Director of the Front to Back Office Solutions Business Line, which will drive GL TRADE's product diversification strategy. This Business Line integrates our Client Connectivity, Risk Management and Middle & Back Office solutions.
Yassine Brahim, previously CEO of Ubitrade, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of GL TRADE Group and will be based in London. He is in charge of the overall business generated by GL TRADE's Business Units worldwide and he will also supervise the Finance/Human Resources/Administrative and the Global Information Systems divisions.
GL TRADE, traditionally based in Paris but realising 80% of its turnover abroad, has decided to distribute its Management Board between Paris and London, the heart of the European financial community. Pierre Gatignol, CEO and Chairman of the Group, Vincent Burzynski, and Laurence Saunier, Chief Financial Officer of the Group, remain based in Paris. Yassine Brahim, Jean-Pierre Baron and Philippe Rapp, Development & Strategy Director, are now based in London.
"The implementation of this new organization is effective as of September 1st 2006 and will not only reinforce our global position in the UK but will also also allow smoother decision making processes" comments Pierre Gatignol, CEO GL TRADE.
