Misys Banking Systems, a global leader in banking software and solutions, today announces that its financial messaging infrastructure solution, Misys Message Manager, has been accredited with SWIFTReady Gold status for the fifth consecutive year.
The certification covers the EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) market and was awarded following a series of rigorous tests carried out at SWIFT. Misys Message Manager has evolved significantly over the past five years and is now an advanced J2EE/thin-client solution designed to support centralised financial messaging, SWIFT services and SWIFTSolutions. The browser based solution provides more banking and payments functionality than any other product on the market. It provides banks with the agility they need to handle all of the recent regulatory changes in the payments world, such as SEPA, and Target2. Misys has several other products with SWIFT labels, including Midas Plus and Trade Innovation.
Barry Kislingbury, global product manager, financial messaging, Misys Banking Systems, comments, "Managing the complex and evolving environments of financial messaging, standards and payments systems is increasingly important to any financial institution's success. Misys Message Manager has been designed with 25 years of experience working in the payments industry and with SWIFT, coupled with Sun Microsystems' technical expertise. Misys Message Manager provides a technically advanced and flexible environment which allows financial institutions to manage the challenge of new standards and regulations, whilst supporting the needs of the business. Achieving SWIFTReady Gold clearly underlines that Misys Message Manager correctly supports all the SWIFT requirements. Additionally, Misys Message Manager provides considerable banking and payments functionality unavailable in other EAI tools - even those with SWIFTReady EAI labels. Message Manager is a sophisticated banking application for managing and processing financial messages, of which EAI is one component. This additional functionality allows financial institutions to build and deploy complete business solutions in very short time frames by centrally managing and re-using these Misys Message Manager business components and browser interface."
Allan Spalding, senior business manager of partner solutions at SWIFT, adds, "This achievement represents Misys' continued commitment to its customers and to SWIFT. We are delighted with their ongoing support in helping our mutual customers adapt to the latest requirements of the financial messaging arena."
