FIX CITY, a global software provider of FIX IOI solutions, today announced the appointment of Robert Rowe as vice president of Americas, new business development.

The move comes to support the global software provider's expansion in North America, following the successful State-side launch of ioinet, its web-based Indication of Interest (IOI) distribution solution, in March 2006.

Rowe, formerly global relationship manager at trade management solutions provider Omgeo LLC, has more than twelve years' experience in financial technology. Rowe has extensive knowledge of the IOI space and long-standing relationships with buy- and sell-side firms, having also held senior roles within global sales and account management at Thomson Financial.

Commenting on his appointment, Rowe says: "FIX CITY is rapidly establishing ioinet as the system of choice for buy- and sell-side securities trading firms to view and analyse pre-trade liquidity and to capitalise on market opportunities. ioinet offers the most sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, solution to display and discover of liquidity – and with its growing community of buy- and sell-side firms, on both sides of the Atlantic, ioinet is the most comprehensive and effective IOI solution available."

Paul Scott, director, FIX CITY, adds: "Already, four top-tier, US-based broker dealers have selected ioinet to advertise liquidity to its established community of European buy-side firms and growing base of North American investment firms. The extension of ioinet's global reach will open up access to liquidity across multiple regions, enabling users to navigate large volumes of global IOIs via its sophisticated analytical and filtering tools. Rowe's firsthand knowledge of this sector and local presence will enable us to further our growth in this area."
