Instinet names Glen Lesko, head of US-based international sales and trading

Instinet, a global agency broker, today announced that it has hired industry veteran Glen Lesko as Head of U.S.-Based International Sales and Trading.

Mr. Lesko will oversee all sales and trading efforts for Instinet's International Trading Desk in New York, and will work closely with the firm's agency-trading desks in Asia and Europe.

"We're excited to add someone of Glenn's caliber to the firm," said Michael Plunkett, President, North America, Instinet. "Our international business has grown substantially over the past year, and we fully expect Glenn to help us continue this momentum."

Mr. Lesko, a chartered financial analyst (CFA) with 16 years of industry experience, joins Instinet from CF Global Trading, where he had served as Partner since 2003. Before that, he spent two years as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, directing the firm's international trading desk, and prior to that, 10 years at ABN AMRO and its affiliates, first heading its Asian trading desk in Hong Kong and later its international trading desk in New York.
