CyberSource adds George Barby and Carolyn Brackett as VPs

CyberSource Corporation (NASDAQ:CYBS), a leading provider of electronic payment and risk management solutions, today announced the appointment of two vice presidents.

George Barby has been named vice president, worldwide operations. Carolyn Brackett has been named vice president, channels and alliances.

Barby will direct CyberSource's global information technology operations and technical services. He reports to Bill McKiernan, CyberSource chairman and CEO. Brackett will lead the continuing development of CyberSource's long term channel and referral partner strategies. She reports to Mike Walsh, senior vice president, worldwide sales.

Previously, Barby served as vice president of network and telecommunications at First Data Corporation and vice president of global telecommunications and network engineering at Visa. Prior to Visa, he managed Wells Fargo's network engineering. Immediately prior to joining CyberSource, Mr. Barby was vice president, network engineering and telecommunications at Safeway, Inc.

Before joining CyberSource, Brackett spent nine years at First Data Corporation and its subsidiaries. She held a variety of senior positions at FDC including senior vice president, business development and strategy and, vice president, internet commerce. Immediately prior to joining CyberSource Ms. Brackett was vice president, marketing and strategic alliances at Exante Financial Services, a division of UnitedHealth Group.
