SunGard Trading Systems has integrated the Pink Sheets Electronic Quotation System (EQS) with its order management system, Brass.
SunGard says the link will provide clients with an automated, cost effective connection to the Pink Sheets for the trading of its nearly 4000 over-the-counter (OTC) securities.
Users of the Brass system will now be able to obtain real-time pricing in Pink Sheets quoted securities, as well as electronic drop copies of executions negotiated via the Pink Link messaging service. Pink Link allows users to send messages to market makers to execute, negotiate or decline orders electronically.
Thomas King, president and chief operating officer, SunGard Trading Systems/Brass, says: "Our clients will now be able to receive real-time quotes and reduce operational costs by eliminating the need for them to manually key-in trades."
