Société Générale Corporate and Investment banking (SG CIB) has implemented Asset Control's centralised data management platform, AC Plus, to provide gathering, cleansing and distribution of security master data.

The enterprise-wide implementation - know internally as the Galaxy project - is part of the bank's reengineering of its equity derivatives information systems.

Galaxy is currently integrating price and reference data from several vendor and internal sources, and supporting the chain of deal execution from trading and research to accounting and settlement.

Jean-Luc Robieux, deputy manager, equity derivatives IT referential group, says: "As the system has moved into production, we are already seeing improvement in data reliability and consistency, as well as elimination of processing bottlenecks."
