Société Générale deploys Business Objects for employee savings extranet

Société Générale has deployed an extranet solution from Business Objects to deliver account information and analysis to its employee savings plans' customers.

Customers currently using the bank's employee savings plan Web site for on-line transactions and transfers will be able to use Business Object's extranet to access and analyse account information and access secure reports containing company employee data, including amount and origin of assets held, contributions, refunds and arbitration.

Maurice Serrano, IT manager, Societe Generale, says: "Users can export the report tables for printing in PDF format or automatically saving data in Excel spreadsheets."

Société Générale uses the Business Objects solutions to create analytics on employee savings plans and send them out to customer companies and its own workforce. The bank says it generates between 100 to 150 reports each day using the software, cutting out the time and cost of producing and mailing 900,000 sheets of paper correspondence every year.

Design and implementation of the extranet was delivered by Business Objects and its partner Odaxys Atlantique.
