Financial IT software vendor Linedata Services has released an upgraded version of its newly-acquired back office fund management, administration and valuation package, Icon.
Linedata acquired the Icon system from Thomson Financial in February this year.
The new release - Icon version 5.0 - includes a data integration platform that will replace the existing data feed mechanism. The data integration platform allows users to define their own templates for data requests and features automatic recovery and intelligent logic to handle exceptions.
In conjunction with the latest release, Linedata Services has launched an Early Support Programme (ESP) for customers upgrading to version 5. The programme includes demonstration days and additional support during the customer-testing phase.
Paul Westgate, Icon product manager, Linedata Services, says the new version shows the company's shift from a release cycle that is date-driven to one that is more content-driven: "This will allow us to focus on delivering tangible product enhancements in each major release."
