German bank Bankgesellschaft Berlin (BGB) has installed Trema's Finance Kit to manage its back office functions and processes.
The product replaced a German market-specific system and the implementation is part of a move by the bank to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Running on Sun Solaris with a Sybase database, Finance Kit interfaces with over 20 internal systems across the front, middle and back office, enabling STP across BGB's operations.
The software covers a range of asset classes including deposits, loans and foreign exchange. The bank is also using the system for first settlement management reconciliations and to manage its daily call money transactions.
Bankgesellschaft Berlin says Trema was able to deliver an implementation to address its specific needs.
