Bacs, the UK's automated payments clearing house, has appointed Nick Masterson-Jones as IT programmes director.
Masterson-Jones was previously a principal consultant at City-based management consultancy Charteris where he advised financial institutions in the UK on the restructuring of IT functions.
Prior to this he was a managing consultant at Deloite and Touche, specialising in treasury, risk and banking systems.
At Bacs, Masterson-Jones will be responsible for directing the NewBacs technology renewal programme, developed to meet the growing demand for electronic payment services such as direct debit and direct credit. He will report directly to Bacs chief operating officer Steve Grigg.
