Ariane Crédit currently manages more than five million loans worth EUR60-billion in outstanding debts.

Ari@ne-Online has been installed at Crédit Agricole's pilot office in the Savoie region since the end of 2002. The portal, which enables customers to access up-to-the-minute bank loan information and securely obtain a bank loan online, is now being rolled out across three Regional Offices to 5000 users in 800 local branches.

The system will also be used by bank staff to access training modules and materials online at over 1300 terminals. It additionally provides customers with multi-channel access and enables all staff to access updated files via an Intranet.

Marc Balas, director of Ariane Crédit, says: "Our aim was to improve response time to customer requests, increase productivity of our employees and reduce operating costs."

The portal is compatible with Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux and OS2 server environments.
