CR2 teams with Servion for voice response channel

CR2 is adding a touch tone telephone banking solution to its Bankworld package using interactive voice response (IVR) technology from India-based Servion Global Solutions.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement, Servion will develop a shrink-wrapped phone banking application that will have ready connectors to CR2's BankWorld and CardWorld products.

Dublin-based CR2 says the new application will enable clients to provide phone banking as an additional channel for their customers, and deliver 24/7 access to account information and transactions service.

Tom Keane, group technology partner manager, CR2, says the voice driven service, combined with touch-tone menus, will support transactions such as account balance enquiries, funds transfer, utility bill payment and mini statements.

"The BankWorld-IVR channel will ensure that our client banks can provide their customers with the ability to quickly, easily, and safely get the financial information they need when they need it with one phone call," he adds.

BankWorld currently supports phone banking channels such as SMS and wireless Internet content using WAP.
