Front office standards body FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) has selected Peter Randall to serve as its first executive director.
Randall has been working as a consultant since 1997, heading up his own consultancy, Peter Randall & Associates.
Prior to this his was at Instinet International, where he served first as chief executive officer of the vendor's Hong Kong, Japan and Pacific subsidiaries, based in Hong Kong. He was later senior vice president and managing director, Japanese and Asian product, based in London.
As executive director, Randall will continue to be based in London and report to the Global Steering Committee, the governing body of FPL. The role was created as part of a restructuring effort initiated last October at the global standards group.
