Dow Jones Newswires has signed a content exchange and sales and delivery partnership agreement with Russian business news agency Prime-Tass.
Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will distribute and sell each others' products in their respective markets. Dow Jones will be the sole sales and distribution agent for Prime-Tass products in North America, Asia Pacific and EMEA. In return Prime-Tass will market selected DJN products to financial professionals and private investors in Russia, the Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Content from Prime-Tass's English and Russian language wires will be included in DJN's coverage of the Russian financial markets and Prime-Tass will in turn bolster its domestic news services with international business content from Dow Jones.
Mikhail Gulyaev, managing editor of Prime-Tass' English language service, says there is a growing demand for high quality news from Russia.
"The agreement with Dow Jones Newswires will allow us to expand our coverage of economic and political events abroad, and to offer Russian clients quality news about major overseas companies and markets," says Gulyaev.
