Spain's Santander Central Hispano Asset Management (SCHAM) has gone live with DSTi's fund management and order generation system HiInvest.
HiInvest has been integrated with SCHAM's back office and has replaced a spreadsheet-based system which was used for managing and rebalancing the portfolios and for trade processing.
As part of the deal, HiInvest was configured to ensure conformity with Spanish business practices.
Mike Winn, DSTi’s group managing director, says SCHAM is the vendor's first major client in Spain and the companies plan to work together to improve the balancing algorithms in HiInvest to accommodate the fixed income portfolio modelling needs of fund managers.
