The Buttonwood Tree Group, a London-based technology consultancy aimed at the financial services sector, has launched a market data management outsourcing service.
The Market Data Optimisation (MDO) service covers market data management requirements, from basic administration control through to strategic reviews.
The service offers modular pricing and support to financial institutions, with options ranging from the complete outsourcing of all market data management, through to lead management of vendor selection and negotiations and strategic, technical, product and commercial reviews.
Buttonwood Tree says institutions are increasingly moving from an administered market data service to a managed one. In addition, says the vendor, banks are increasingly using a mix of in-house information and third-party data but are unable to determine how much internal data they can harness, causing them to overspend on external feeds.
Nigel Walder, CEO, Buttonwood Tree Group, says: "We are responding to the actual needs of customers at a time when firms are looking for tactical ways to optimise their business assets and maintain effective cost management programmes."
The group is also providing interested parties with a free evaluation of their current market data environment, prior to taking the MDO service.
